ABOUT THE ROLE

Known as one of the leading firms in the delivery of projects, this is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking, professional and dynamic project management consultancy who are now seeking an experienced Project Manager / Civil Engineer” to join their professional team. Must have experience delivering roads projects and ideally have head contractor experience, You will be responsible for delivering 2 road construction projects due to commence in October & November 2018, 3 to 6 month contract working approximately 3 days per week, regional NSW. Travel costs will be covered.

The Ideal Candidate will have 

  • Experience of managing infrastructure/civil projects from scope development to hand over.
  • A proven track record in managing the design development as well as the up-front regulatory approvals.
  • Develop documentation for the appointment of contractors through competitive tendering.
  • Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required.
  • Be able to manage project expenditure and cash flow.
  • Be able to manage defect identification and rectification.
  • A positive and “can do” attitude and extremely high client serving standards are essential.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • Minimum 8 years experience in major infrastructure project field, road experience a plus
  • Strong preconstruction and contract management skillsets
  • Proven understanding of engineering concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and drive
